Te-Zn

Te-Zn (Tellurium-Zinc) R.C. Sharma and Y.A. Chang The assessed Zn-Te phase diagram is based on thermodynamic modeling and calculations with review of the experimental data of [12Kob], [63Kul], [64Car], and [70Ste]. The aZnTe phase forms at 50 at.% Te and melts congruently. The deviation from stoichiometric composition in aZnTe is negligible [69Jor]. aZnTe, a semiconductor, transforms to a conducting phase at ~140 to 145 kbar at room temperature [62Sam]. The transition is believed to be from the zincblende structure of aZnTe to the cubic (NaCl type) structure [63Jay]; however, there is no experimental confirmation of the structure of the high- pressure phase. 12Kob: M.
