Ta-W (Tantalum-Tungsten) R. Krishnan, S.P. Garg, and N. Krishnamurthy The complete miscibility of Ta and W over the entire composition range first stated by [05Bol] was proved by lattice parameter and microhardness measurements of alloys containing 30, 50, and 70 at.% W by [46Buc]. The assessed Ta-W phase diagram is based on the work of [69Rud]. The activities of Ta and W exhibit negative deviations from ideality. The observed small negative entropies of mixing have been attributed to vibrational contributions and/or short-range ordering in these alloys [ 73Sin]. 05Bol: W.V. Bolton, Z.
