Ni-Sr

Ni-Sr (Nickel-Strontium) H. Okamoto The Ni-Sr phase diagram is based on the work of [66Tak]. The peritectic melting point of NiSr is ~860 C. According to the original diagram of [66Tak], the initial slope of the (Ni) liquidus is nearly horizontal. However, because the solubility of Sr in (Ni) is negligible, the van't Hoff relationship requires that the initial slope of the (Ni) liquidus must be about --14.2 C/ at.%. For thermodynamic consistency, the L1 = L2 + (Ni) monotectic reaction is tentatively added, as in the Ba-Ni system. 66Tak: Y. Takeuchi, K. Mochizuki, M. Watanabe, and I.
