Ni-Sb

Ni-Sb (Nickel-Antimony) G.H. Cha, S.Y. Lee, and P. Nash The assessed Ni-Sb phase diagram is based on the data of [06Los], [39Shi], [ 41Shi], [78Hei], and [89Fes]. The solubility of Sb in (Ni) was reported to be 9 at.% Sb at 900 C [89Fes], based on microprobe and thermal analysis. [39Shi] reported that the solubility of Ni in (Sb) is almost negligible at room temperature, and the microprobe data of [89Fes] showed the solubility of Ni in (Sb) to be less than 0.2 at.% Ni below 500 C. [41Shi] observed that Ni15Sb is paramagnetic in the range 5.1 to 6.2 at.% Sb at room temperature. The Curie point of Ni is lowered by addition of Sb down to the saturation point of Ni15Sb-3.8 at.% Sb at 207 C-in the (Ni) phase, and in the two-phase (Ni) + Ni15Sb range-3.8 to 5.5 at.% Sb-the Curie point is constant at 207 C. There is no magnetic ordering through the single-phase Ni15Sb field, but the Curie point reappears in the two-phase (Ni) + Ni15Sb range-6.2 to 8.0 at.% Sb-at 94 C. The Curie point of saturated (Ni) in the two-phase range (Ni) + Ni3Sb was reported to be 58 C (9 at.% Sb) [39Shi]. However, because [39Shi] and [86Elb] did not observe Ni15Sb, the data of [ 41Shi] are considered tentative. 06Los: K. Lossew, Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem., 49, 58-71 (1906) in German. 39Shi: N.
