Mo-Ta

Mo-Ta (Molybdenum-Tantalum) R. Krishnan, S.P. Garg, and N. Krishnamurthy Mo-Ta is an isomorphous system in which Ta and Mo form a continuous series of bcc solid solutions [46Buc, 51Gea]. The assessed Mo-Ta phase diagram is based on the work of [69Rud] and [Molybdenum]. It has been calculated using the evaluated data of [Hultgren,E] and the method of [70Kau]. By X-ray diffraction, [70Pre] observed short-range order peaks for several single-crystal Mo-Ta alloys. [72Sin] determined thermodynamic properties of solid Mo-Ta alloys between 1000 and 1300 K using a galvanic cell with a thoria-based electrolyte. The activities of Ta and Mo exhibit large negative deviation from ideality. 46Buc: H. Buckle, Metallforsch., 53-56 (1946). 51Gea: G.A. Geach and D. Summers Smith, J. Inst.
