Li-Rb (Lithium-Rubidium) C.W. Bale The Li-Rb system exhibits virtually complete immiscibility in both the liquid and solid states [39Boh]. It is expected to resemble the Li-Cs system, because Rb and Cs are alkali metals that have similar large atomic radii (0.2808 and 0. 3024 nm) in comparison to Li (0.1728 nm). In addition, they have similar melting points (39.48 and 28.39 C, respectively) and similar boiling points ( 688 and 671 C, respectively). The assessed phase diagram was calculated by assuming negligible mutual solubility in the liquid phase.
