La-W (Lanthanum-Tungsten) S. Pandian, S.V. Nagender Naidu, and P. Rama Rao Available reports concerning the solubility of W in liquid La are contradictory. For the temperature range 1496 to 2266 C, [66Den] reported an increase in solubility with temperature, whereas in the temperature range 918 ( melting point of La) to 1200 C [66Gau] reported a decrease in solubility with an increase in temperature. Because the solubility values reported by [66Gau] are found to be considerably lower than those reported by [66Den], the solubility data reported by [66Den] are preferred.
