Hf-Mg (Hafnium-Magnesium) A.A. Nayeb-Hashemi and J.B. Clark Because the equilibrium phase diagram of Mg-Hf has not been experimentally determined, the probable diagram is represented schematically. According to an early investigation by [49Sau], Hf did not alloy with Mg after prolonged exposure to liquid Mg at high temperatures (~1000 C). [60Tho] noted that there may be considerable liquid solubility based on the analogy to titanium and zirconium.
