Eu-W (Europium-Tungsten) S. Pandian, S.V. Nagender Naidu, and P. Rama Rao A partial phase diagram for the Eu-W system is shown. The maximum solubility of W in (Eu) reported by [66Den] is 0.0019 at.% at 1612 C. Most of the data points of [66Den] are found to be above the boiling point of Eu (1597 C). Among the lighter RE-W systems, this is the only system for which the solubility data are heavily scattered, probably because the data correspond to the vapor state of Eu. [76Mie] reported no stable compounds in the Eu-W system, because the predicted enthalpy of formation for both Eu3+W and Eu2+W is positive at all concentrations of Eu. 66Den: D.H. Dennison, M.J.
