Cr-Li (Chromium-Lithium) M. Venkatraman and J.P. Neumann No comprehensive investigations of the Cr-Li phase diagram have been undertaken; therefore, only a schematic is shown as the assessed diagram, which is based on review of the work of [61Lea] and [63Wee]. The compatibility of Cr with liquid alkali metals is of interest in nuclear technology. The solubility data of [61Lea] and [63Wee] are accepted because they exhibit a linear relationship between log concentration and reciprocal temperature. The mutual solid solubilities of Cr and Li are assumed to be very small. No information is available concerning the nature of the three-phase equilibria involving (Cr), (aLi), and (bLi) at approximately -201 C (~72 K); ( Cr), (bLi), and liquid Li at ~181 C (~454 K); or between (Cr), liquid Li, and Li vapor at ~1344 C (~1617 K). 61Lea: H.W.
