Cr-Cs (Chromium-Cesium) M. Venkatraman and J.P. Neumann The assessed Cr-Cs phase diagram is assumed to be similar to the Cr-Li and Cr- Na diagrams, which exhibit a very small solubility of Cr in the liquid and, presumably, also in the solid state. No information is available concerning the nature of the three-phase equilibria involving (Cr), (Cs), and liquid Cs at ~28 C (~301 K), or between (Cr), liquid Cs, and Cs vapor at ~671 C (~944 K). An indication of the solubility of Cr in liquid Cs was obtained by [63Tep], who equilibrated liquid Cs with Haynes-25 alloy crucibles (nominal composition in wt.%: Co-20Cr-15W-10Ni-3Fe-1.5Mn-1Si-0.1C). The solubility of Cr in liquid Cs, on the order of 10-3 at.% ~977 C (~1250 k), is the same order as for Cr in liquid Li or Na. 63Tep: F. Tepper and J. Greer, ASD-TDR-63-824, Part 1 (1963).
