Ba-Sr

Ba-Sr (Barium-Strontium) C.B. Alcock and V.P. Itkin The equilibrium phases of the Ba-Sr system are (1) the liquid, L; (2) the low- temperature fcc solid solution, (aSr); and (3) the high-temperature bcc continuous solid solution, (Ba,bSr). The assessed phase diagram is based on review of the work of [56Hir], [66Pet], and [83Cha]. The uncertainty in the positions of the solidus and the liquidus in the present diagram is about с5 C. The assessed phase diagram includes the two solid solutions-(aSr), stable at room temperature between pure Sr and an alloy with down to about 78 at.% Sr, and (Ba,bSr). Information for the construction of the phase boundaries is limited. The uncertainty in the positions of the solid solution boundaries is about с30 C. 56Hir: R.G. Hirst, A.J. King, and F.A. Kanda, J.
