Au-W (Gold-Tungsten) H. Okamoto and T.B. Massalski The assessed phase diagram for the Au-W system should be regarded as schematic, because it is based in the thermodynamic assumptions of [80Mie]. The only structures observed in this system are the pure components. [46Boi] reported that a highly refractory yellow alloy is formed when W is introduced into Au. the yellow alloy may be a metastable phase. Assuming ideal mixing for the gas phase and the same thermodynamic functions as above for the condensed phases, [88Vij] suggested that Au(g) may be in equilibrium with (W) between 3310 and 2929 C at 1 atm. 46Boi: A.V.
