Au-P

Au-P (Gold-Phosphorus) H. Okamoto and T.B. Massalski The equilibrium phases of the Au-P system are (1) the gas; (2) the liquids based on Au and P; (3) the fcc terminal solid solution, (Au), with no appreciable solubility of P in (Au); and (4) the complex cubic white (aP), with no reported solubility of Au in (aP). The assessed phase diagram is based mainly on the work of [59Vog]. The solubility of P in liquid Au was estimated to be 13.5 at.%. The monoclinic Au2P3 structure can be obtained under pressures higher than 1 bar and is likely to be metastable at 1 bar pressure. The compound AuP can be prepared chemically, but it is unstable in air, even at room temperature. 59Vog: R. Vogel, R. Dobbener, and O. Strathmann, Z. Metallkd., 50(3), 130-135 ( 1959) in German.
